MOC (Mumbai Oncology Center)
A clinic management system built to replace one that no longer met MOC’s operational and audit needs — rolled out across 30 clinics with zero downtime.
MOC (Mumbai Oncology Center) operates cancer care services across 30 clinics. Their existing clinic management system — built by a previous vendor — fell short on several fronts: the user experience made day-to-day work harder than it needed to be, an over-architected Kubernetes deployment kept hosting costs climbing, and the system didn’t support the audit and research reporting MOC needed. We took over as their technology partner to fix this without disrupting patient care.
A replacement system delivered without stopping patient care
-
Stop-Gap Stabilisation
Our first task wasn’t the new system — it was keeping the old one running reliably while we built its replacement. We took over maintenance of the existing platform and made targeted fixes to keep clinics operating without interruption during the transition.
-
Extensive Discovery With Clinical Teams
We ran extensive discovery sessions directly with MOC’s operations and clinical teams to understand how each clinic actually worked, rather than replicating the shortcomings of the system we were replacing.
-
Phased Rollout Across 30 Clinics
Rather than a single cutover across all 30 clinics, the new system went live in a limited number of clinics first, validating the design under real conditions before the full rollout. Data was migrated from the old system to our new schema with zero downtime at every stage.
-
Delivered to a Fixed Audit Deadline
MOC needed the new system live before financial year-end to meet their audit requirements. We hit that deadline — giving MOC a platform that met its operational, audit, and research needs where the previous vendor’s could not.
